Comparison between VV-WIDE+APS and POLA-VV:

There are big differences between these 2 models (VV-WIDE and POLA-VV), here a summary.

 POLA-VV VV-WIDE + APS

Technology of polarization

(how polarization is implemented)

Image separation for binocular testing is created through a specific polarisation technique which is unique for LCD test charts. This unique polarisation technique provides 100% image separation, without any "ghost image"!

Image separation is created by placing the Add-on Polarized Sheet (APS) in front of the LCD screen of VV-WIDE. The APS split the image: half screen (top or right) for the right eye, and the other half screen (bottom or left) for the left eye.

Positive polarization

YES (black stimuli on a white background). Electronic inversion of polarization is available.

NO (white stimuli on a black background).

Easy of use

Easy to use, professional and friendly. A unique solution for both monocular and binocular tests.

opticians / oculist need to insert and remove the APS every time they switch from a monocular to a binocular test.
